Preventing Workplace Violence
Managing aggressive behavior and preventing workplace violence have emerged as serious health and safety issues in today’s workplace. It’s a growing concern for a number of occupational sectors. Developed by WorkSafeBC, this course helps employers to create safer workplaces. It gives them the tools they need, including strategies for recognizing the warning signs, defusing situations, and preventing violence at work.
Description
This one-day course is designed to help equip employers and workers with the knowledge and tools needed to reduce workplace violence. Participants learn about regulatory requirements, how to conduct a risk assessment, prevention procedures, and key elements for developing an effective violence prevention program for the workplace.
The course consists of five modules:
